The Faculty is sad to note the death of Professor Sir Geoffrey Hill on 30th June.  Geoffrey Hill came from a lectureship at Leeds to a teaching Fellowship in English at Emmanuel from 1981 until 1988, during which time he lectured in the Faculty.  He was elected an Honorary Fellow of Emmanuel in 1990, and lived in Cambridge from 2006 until his death.  Details of the funeral, which will be in Emmanuel, will be announced when they are available.
