Junior Teaching Officer in English Literature, Pembroke College, Cambridge



Applications are invited for the post of Junior Teaching Officer in English Literature, to provide replacement cover teaching for Dr Katrin Ettenhuber during a period of Isaac Newton Trust funded leave. The appointment will be for nine months from 1 October 2017, and will carry dining rights. The successful candidate, who will have recently completed a Ph.D., will be expected to provide twelve hours per week of undergraduate supervision and classes for the College in Renaissance Literature,  Shakespeare and Practical Criticism and Practice at Part I, and in Tragedy, early modern optional papers and dissertations at Part II, as well as to assist in the selection of undergraduates during the admissions round in December 2017. We expect the successful candidate to bring the benefits of a strongly developing research profile to their teaching. The stipend, which is pensionable, will be in accordance with the scale for a Research Fellowship, currently £25,298 p.a. pro rata.  Further particulars are available online at http://www.pem.cam.ac.uk/the-college/job-vacancies/.
