Miss Jessica Lim, Lucy Cavendish
Supervisor: Dr L Joy
Jessica Lim is a second-year PhD student. She completed her Bachelor of Arts (Advanced)(Honours) at the University of Sydney with first class honours, and graduated from the M.Phil in Children's Literature programme at Trinity College Dublin with Distinction. She is the co-founder of the Lucy Cavendish Children's Literature Society and is completing her PhD on Anna Letitia Barbauld's children's literature and eighteenth-century print culture and reading practices. When not reading literature, she is the Assistant Organist at Magdalene College, and is an amateur but enthusiastic baker and squirrel-watcher.
My research spans late eighteenth-century and Romantic literature, with a particular focus on Anna Letitia Barbauld and her contemporaries, print culture and reading practices, and the development of British children's literature.
