Biographical Information
Kailai/Kelly Zhong is currently a second-year PhD student. Her research interests include sleep studies, somnophilia, gender and sexuality, psychoanalysis, and mysticism. Her most recent conference presentations are 'Desiring Sleep: Somnophilia in Nineteenth-century Literature and Art' at CRASSH, University of Cambridge (March 2025), and 'Gazes on the Sleeping Beauties: An Interdisciplinary Research' at the English Faculty of Oxford University (May 2024).
Apart from researching, she mainly works as an English teacher, translator/interpreter, AI humaniser, and English broadcast journalist.
