We have now released our memory vividness survey, which will be available until early 2026. We are hoping to gather as many responses as possible.
The survey explores what makes memories vivid. For some, vividness might be about a rush of emotion. For others, it’s a clear mental image or a strong sense of certainty. In academic contexts, the idea of memory vividness is also approached differently across disciplines. We aim to uncover how people define vividness, what features contribute to it, and how the experience of vivid remembering evolves across the lifespan.
