Joining the International Spenser Society

Membership in the Spenser Society carries many benefits. Most importantly, members join a community of scholars and students, joined by a common, humane commitment to the support and expansion of the study and appreciation of Spenser's works. This community generally keeps in fairly close contact, through annual conference sessions and other events, through email correspondence and discussion, and through the Society's affiliated publication, The Spenser Review. Members of the Society automatically receive a subscription to The Spenser Review for their period of membership, and are kept abreast of relevant events and deadlines relating to Spenser studies.

Dues for the Spenser Society are currently US$28 for one year; students, emeriti, and independent scholars pay a reduced rate of US$18 per year. For anyone outside the United States and Canada, add US$5 per year mailing supplement (i.e. US$33 for a one-year membership; overseas members paying the reduced rate should pay US$23 for a one-year membership). Please note that there is no longer a three-year membership option. Dues payment automatically begins your subscription to The Spenser Review. Institutional subscribers to The Spenser Review should direct all correspondence to the editor, Professor Sheila Cavanagh.

Memberships paid after the first of October will be credited to the following calendar year. New members subscribing after the first of October will start receiving The Spenser Review with the first issue of the new year.
