Spenser in Dublin

Spenserians from around the world gathered in Dublin, Ireland last summer for the Fifth International Spenser Society Conference, “The Place of Spenser/Spenser’s Places.” The conference showcased a wealth of new work. No doubt many of the papers will be published in a range of venues. Our sampling includes a pair of essays that offer very different takes on the theme-word “place”; a panel on the question of close reading The Faerie Queene; the text of an after-dinner toast by Roger Kuin; and the program for an evening concert by the group Peregryne, together with a link to one of the selections.
