In Memoriam: Michael Murrin (1938–2021)

Michael Murrin, who wrote about Spenser his whole career, died late this summer. By that time Alzheimer’s had already taken away his erudition, which was formidable by any standard, together with the use of his library, which eventually filled two apartments.
