It’s been quite a revelation. I used to think writing was a solitary activity with me at my computer or sketch pad, but this experiment has been eye-opening! The students are so keen to write and I must admit that their sheer enthusiasm has impacted on the development of the novel. They see things I might have overlooked and the characters in the book are now so real.
