Opus Gemmatum: Women, Sin, and Adornment in the Early Middle Ages

Research Interests

I work on the religious and social history of Anglo-Saxon England, with a special interest in gender and patristic reception. My PhD thesis traces the developments of the theology of adornment from the early Church to the end of the Anglo-Saxon period, attempting to trace the relationship between asceticism, misogyny and secular politics.
