Maureen N. McLane is the author of eight books of poetry, two critical monographs on British romantic poetics, an experimental hybrid of memoir and criticism (My Poets), and numerous essays on romantic and contemporary literature and culture. She is the Henry James Professor of English and American Letters at New York University. Her latest book is 'What You Want: poems' (FSG and Penguin UK, 2023).

Imogen Cassels is the author of various pamphlets, including Chesapeake, VOSS, Arcades, and Mother; beautiful things. Her writing has appeared in the London Review of Books, the Cambridge Literary Review, The White Review, The TLS, Blackbox Manifold, Still Point, and on the London Underground, among other places. She is a judge for this year's Michael Marks Award, and lives in London.
