A two-day conference at the Faculty of English and Newnham College
Keynote talks by Professor Dame Gillian Beer (Cambridge), Professor Angela Leighton (Cambridge), Professor Peter Davidson (Oxford), Peter Scupham (Poet and Royal Society of Literature Fellow), and Dr William Wootten (Bristol). Evening concert featuring new song-settings of Walter de la Mare's verse by 'The Lancashire Hustlers' and the 'Mackie and Me' ensemble. Pop-up exhibition and talk by Carolina Rabei, illustrator of Faber and Faber’s children’s editions of Walter de la Mare’s poetry.
Conference registration includes access to all keynote talks, all panel presentations, the evening concert, and the pop-up exhibition, as well as lunch on Friday and all refreshments. The concert will be followed by an optional drinks reception and dinner at Newnham College.
