Dr Alice Wickenden is co-convening an event with Professor Emma Smith (Oxford) on 21 September 2026. The event is called ‘The Politics of Rare Books: Colonial legacies, libraries, provenances’ and will bring together a select group of librarians, curators and academics who work with rare book collections to advance questions on difficult provenances, to connect people in the field, and to establish more of a sense of the conversations currently taking place across different institutions and disciplines.
The event is funded by CRASSH and will take place in Cambridge.
