Co-edited by M-C Newbould and W B Gerard, ‘Laurence Sterne’s A Sentimental Journey: A Legacy to the World’, is the first essay collection devoted exclusively to A Sentimental Journey and some of Sterne’s ‘lesser-known’ works, such as The Bramine’s Journal.  It partly represents the fruits of a conference organised by Dr Newbould at Jesus College (Cambridge) in 2018 to mark the 250-year anniversary of the  publication of A Sentimenal Journey and of Sterne’s death, but it also includes many contributions not originally presented at the conference.
