Professor Anthony Bale is a guest speaker in a symposium on ‘holy sites in post-crusader Palestine’ at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, 21-22 May 2025.  The symposium is part of a Swiss National Science Foundation Advanced Grant, Holy Networks: Locating, Shaping, and Experiencing Palestinian Loca Sancta (1187-1852).  The subject of Professor Bale’s talk is scopic regimes around Nabi Samwil/Mount Joy and medieval emotional scripts.
