Jennifer Pollard
Biography
Jen graduated from university with a degree in classical archaeology. She found she wasn't very good at archaeology, though, so she has been working in the IT field since 1993 and at Cambridge (and the English Faculty!) since 2002. In her spare time, she enjoys many non-computery things such as knitting, playing tabletop RPGs (like D&D), crocheting, embroidery, chain mail construction, making soap and taking pictures of her cats.
Jen is the full-time Computer Officer for the Faculty and is responsible for system administration and general IT support. She deals with server administration, hardware faults and installation, software installation, software licensing, and various web related tasks as well as managing various bespoke-built apps and systems. She also provides IT support for the Faculty's teaching and administrative staff.
Normal Office Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8am to 4.30pm
