Starting in 2018, the Faculty of English will be displaying quotations around its building (9 West Road). This will be a dynamic display, with regular changes. All of the quotations speak to the Faculty’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusivity. They sample the engagement with equality, diversity, and inclusivity in the material that we study:  literary writing in poetry and prose, criticism, and literary theory. They evidence the diversity of literary voices. They aim to provoke thoughts and discussions, to broaden horizons, and to inspire.
