TL;DR: The University timetable app was showing wrong information for English Tripos and Postgrads, so it’s been cleared while I fix it. Our systems are fine, it’s just the app connection. Use the What’s On page for now; the timetable may flicker on/off during testing. -Jen

We’re currently experiencing some problems with the timetable app, and I wanted to let you know what’s going on.
Over the last week or so, the Timetable app has been showing incorrect information–including duplicate sessions, missing room numbers, incorrect times, cancelled lectures still appearing, and new sessions displaying in the wrong places. Clearly, that’s not helpful, and I’m sorry for the confusion this has caused.
At the moment, our underlying booking systems are correct and Notes on Courses is correct. The issue lies with the custom timetable integration that pulls this data into the University app. While I investigate what’s causing the problem and work on a fix, I’ve temporarily cleared the English timetable from the app. At this point, it’s better to show no information than information that can’t be trusted.
Please be aware that the timetable may appear empty or be briefly repopulated and cleared again while testing is ongoing. Please wait for the all clear before repopulating your timetable.
What to use in the meantime
For a reliable, day-to-day view of what’s happening, you can use our What’s On page or Notes on Courses.
If you need timetable details for the next week or so added to your own calendar, I may also be able to provide an ICS calendar file directly from our booking system — which is accurate. Just get in touch (and hey, you’ll get no judgement from me – I need everything on a calendar alert or a timer or I miss things! – just remember that while I’m putting together an ICS for you, I’m not working on the fix)
I know how important the timetable is, and I’m actively working to get this fixed as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience while I sort this out, and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need help in the short term.
