Dr Kasia Boddy Convenor for CRASSH Symposium Books in the Making

Dr Kasia Boddy is a Convenor for  the CRASSH Symposium, Books in the Making, 14-15 April 2016, Alison Richard Building, Cambridge.

This interdisciplinary symposium brings together key players in the book trade and academics from a range of disciplines, and seeks to expand and enrich understanding of contemporary literary production by considering the consequences for contemporary writing of ongoing changes in its production and dissemination.

On Thursday 14 April, the symposium opens with a public event organised in conjunction with the Cambridge Literary Festival and featuring the best-selling American crime writer Lee Child in conversation with Andy Martin, lecturer in French literature and philosophy at the University of Cambridge.

On Friday 15 April, Dr Stefan Collini of the Faculty of English Chairs a session to reconsider traditional questions of reading, evaluation and interpretation by connecting them to social and institutional contexts including literary festivals, book reviewing and journalism, and prize-giving.
