Dr Elizabeth Savage is awarded this year’s Wolfgang Ratjen Award for distinguished research in the field of graphic arts.

The Wolfgang Ratjen Award is an annual award for distinguished research in the field of graphic arts. The prize, funded by the Wolfgang Ratjen Foundation, is curated and presented by the Association of Friends of the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte, Munich (‘CONIVNCTA FLORESCIT’). The purpose of this award, which honours the memory of the collector Wolfgang Ratjen (1943-1997), is to encourage younger scholars to address neglected topics and to bring the results of their work to the attention of a broader public. The winning candidate chosen by an independent committee of scholars, receives € 5,000 and is expected to spend three months conducting research at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte in Munich.
