Dr Ian Patterson is one of two judges for this year’s Scott Moncrieff Prize for translations from the French.  The other judge is the author Michèle Roberts.

Established in 1965, and named after the celebrated translator of Proust’s À la Recherche du Temps Perdu, the prize is sponsored by the Institut français du Royaume-Uni and Arts Council England.
