This October, the Faculty of English hosts a series of events with American Writers:

Tuesday 4 October – English Faculty, Room G-R04, 4.30pm: Mark Greif, editor of n+1 and author of ‘In The Age of the Crisis of Man: Thought and Fiction in America, 1933-1973’, will discuss his new book ‘Against Everything’.  (Sponsored by American History Research Seminar and American Literature Research Group.)

Thursday 6 October – English Faculty, Room G-R06/07, 5pm: acclaimed novelist Dennis Cooper and visual artist Zac Farley will introduce a screening of their 2015 film ‘Like Cattle Towards Glow’.  (Sponsored by Contemporaries Research Group (English Faculty), Queer Cultures, and Film and Screen Media Research Seminar.)

Thursday 13 October – English Faculty, Room G-R04, 4.30pm:  Diane Williams, writer and editor of NOON, will read from her new collection of stories ‘Fine, Fine, Fine, Fine’ and discuss writing and editing short fiction.  (Sponsored by the American Literature Research Seminar.)
