Dr Laura Wright is to give a talk entitled ‘Language in Motion’ at the opening night of the London Transport Museum’s new exhibtion, Sounds of the City, on Friday 19 May.  In her talk, Dr Wright will consider the entirely unintended knock-on linguistic effect of the railway boom in the 1840s.
