The article, ‘An unlikely artistic alliance: the wartime Britons who saved and celebrated German art’, is about a little-known exhibition of Mid-European Art in Leicester in 1944 which led to the creation of a permanent exhibition of German Expressionist works (including by Franz Marc and Käthe Kollwitz) in the city.
