British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships 2015

The British Academy has announced its timetable for this year’s Postdoctoral Fellowships competition, with a first stage closing date of 5pm on 7th October.

If you are thinking of making an application for a Fellowship at Cambridge in the Faculty of English or Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic, we advise that you make informal contact now with Professor Steve Connor for English (skc45@cam.ac.uk) or Dr Rosalind Love for ASNC (rcl10@cam.ac.uk) to discuss your project.  You should include a statement as to why you think Cambridge is an appropriate academic home for your project, so we can ensure that there is a good fit with our activities.  If agreement is given in principle, we will need a draft copy of your application in the format that the British Academy requires, and members of the Faculty’s Research Policy and Support Committee will take a final view on which applications the Faculty will support.

The timetable for applications is as follows:

Draft applications to be received by Friday 18 September.
Decisions made and communicated to potential applicants no later than Wednesday 30 September.

For more information about the application process, please contact the Faculty Administrator, Marina Ballard (administrator@english.cam.ac.uk)
