Eva Dema has been awarded the 2023 Review of English Studies Essay Prize for her article ‘‘Sacred to the Memory’: Thomas Hardy’s Tombstones’. Launched in 1999, the prize is awarded annually to an article on any topic of English literature or the English language from the earliest period to the present, and is open to both current and recent postgraduates in Britain and abroad.
