Faculty of English renews its Athena SWAN bronze award

The Faculty is very pleased to announce that it has renewed its Athena SWAN bronze award status, which it will hold for the next five years. Athena SWAN is an accreditation scheme that recognises and celebrates good practice in higher education promoting gender equality. The renewal rewards great success in following through the previous action plan (from 2018), and a new action plan aiming to fine-tune and consolidate further developments. The submission was led brilliantly by Dr Hester Lees-Jeffries, who built on great work by her predecessors and was helped by many colleagues, especially by our Faculty Coordinator April McIntyre.
