Anthony Bale appears on BBC Radio 4’s ‘In Our Time’ to talk about the myth of Pope Joan.  The broadcast date is Thursday 30 January, BBC Radio 4, 9am (repeated Sunday, 11pm).  After broadcast, the programme can be listened to on BBC Sounds.

The discussion is chaired by Melvyn Bragg.  The panellists for this episode are:

  • Anthony Bale, Professor of Medieval & Renaissance English at the University of Cambridge and Fellow of Girton College
