Dr Louise Joy has been awarded the Crausaz Wordsworth Fellowship at CRASSH for the Lent term, 2020. The Fellowship is awarded to academic staff in Cambridge who are not members of the Faculty of Philosophy to work on a philosophical topic. Her project is entitled ‘Enlightenment Progressivism: Literature, Education and Freedom’, and will examine the ways in which eighteenth-century educational philosophy interacted with literary theory and practice.
