Dr Trudi Tate was commissioned to write the programme notes for the English National Ballet’s production of Alexander Glazunov’s Raymonda. The company have changed the setting of the ballet from the Crusades to the Crimean War. The heroine in this version goes to the war to work with Florence Nightingale. Raymonda is due to be performed at the Coliseum in London and at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow in January 2022.
