Eva Dema has been awarded a Junior Fellowship in the Harvard Society of Fellows. Supported by this three-year research award (2025-28), she will aim to publish her doctoral thesis as a monograph, before starting work on a new research project. While her thesis constitutes the first book-length study of Thomas Hardy’s poetry manuscripts, her second book project will chart a transatlantic network of working-class poets and political activists in the mid-nineteenth century.
The purpose of the Society of Fellows is to give scholars at an early stage of their careers an opportunity to pursue their studies in any department of Harvard University, free from formal requirements. More information can be found here: https://socfell.fas.harvard.edu/about.
