2031.

A failed geo-engineering experiment to solve the global warming problem results in a new Ice Age and mass extinction. Focusing on the connection between climate change and class inequalities, director Bong Joon-Ho is asking us to think critically about a possible solution to climate change, and to ask ourselves whether the idea that humans can master nature without risk is a realistic solution to the problem of global warming.

Join us for the screening of this cult speculative fiction masterpiece.

Featuring a short introduction to the film by Dr James Womack, Bye-Fellow in English and Modern Languages, Fitzwilliam College + Screening + Discussion.
