The Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic invites you to a free screening of the Irish film Camino na Sáile / The Camino Voyage

A crew of four, including Irish language writer Domhnall Mac Síthigh and musicians Glen Hansard and Breanndán Ó Beaglaoich, take their naomhóg (a boat they built themselves) on a 2,500km modern day Celtic journey from Ireland to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Spain–the destination of medieval and modern pilgrims for centuries.  Stopping en route at coastal villages in Cornwall, Brittany and Galicia, the voyagers inspire those whom they meet with their courage, endurance, poetry and song.

Director Dónal Ó Céilleachair (Anú Films) http://www.anupictures.com/ follows this sea-pilgrimage across the Irish Sea and the English Channel to Northern Spain. The film received several awards, including the Audience Award for the Luxembourg British & Irish Film Season, the Documentary Award at the Irish Screen America Film Festival, NYC, and Film of the Year at An tOireachtas Media Awards, 2019.

A reception with wine and cheese from Galicia and Guinness and cheese from Ireland will follow the screening.

Seating in the Drama Studio is limited to 50 attendees, due to safety regulations.
